ABOUT  There was a time when the prophets guided humanity through their prophecies and visions. Now, they've been gone for over a century. Before disappearing they left behind one last prophecy; the one that foretold the Age of Darkness and the birth of one Last Prophet, who could help avoiding it...or unleashing it.

REVIEW  Very unique world building, prophecy system mixed with politics, with some people that are graced having some way of controlling the energy of the world and very diverse and unique characters.

Magic system is shown in certain people who are graced, meaning they can control some aspect of the energy that flows through the world. The grace will also disappear when the Age of Darkness comes. Now the world is divided between the ones who want the grace to disappear, called the witnesses. Some kind of revolutionaries that want to establish a new order, and the ones who still stand by the legacy of the prophets. 

An example of multiple POV well done. We have FIVE pov, and reading how the five of them made the whole story was my favorite thing about this. We have a diverse cast of characters; an exiled prince who wants his kingdom back, an assassin called The Pale Hand, a religious leader, a gambler with a very powerful and unique power and a dying girl who wants to five up. Each one has something different to tell. I loved the diversity in all characters and how each story was necessary for the story to come whole. 

A negative thing for me was that some things were a little obvious but I guess that happens when you have the whole information coming from so many perspectives.
